Mark Christopher pushes the envelope in both design and delivery.  Mark is a clothier, not an order taker.  Before Mark allowed me to place an order, he wanted to get to know me.  He inquired about my profession and my social interests.  This was not just small talk, he wanted to build a garment that would hang on my shoulders, not hang in my closet.  Mark quickly determined that a subtle blue would suit my business needs.  Blue is the color of power and wealth, yet the shade of blue need not be confrontational when dealing with clients.  He recommended French cuffs and a spread collar.  I allowed him to take a few design liberties by adding contrasting white fabric under the cuffs and on the inside collar band.  Gone are the Gordon Gecko days of French blue shirts with flashy contrasting collars and cuffs.  Let the details speak, he advised.  I will add a pocket for your pen, he said.  I immediately stated that I preferred a clean look to the garment and did not want a pocket.  Then he recommended something that blew me away.  “I am not going to add the pocket to the chest of the shirt, but to the sleeve.”  See, Mark Christopher is working on the first cigar/pen pocket on the tricep area of the shirt sleeve.  He monogrammed the pocket for an added touch.  Another area of detail, in going over my measurements, he recommended a raised two button collar.  I have had experience with them in the past and have found that they can be hard to button.  Mark assured me this would not be the case with his shirts and he was right.  A slightly offset button stance and the use of two different size buttons on the collar, make it the easiest two button collar I own to fasten.  For a more casual look, Mark constructed a red gingham check shirt.  He included the sleeve pocket, but it is hard to see because the pattern matching is some of the best I have ever seen!  He used epaulettes to hold the rolled up sleeves in place.  He also cut the shirt for a trimmer feel and a shorter overall length.  When it comes to true bespoke custom orders, visit http://www.markchristophercustomshirts.com/
