I commissioned a shirt from MTM Shirt in July of 2010.  I chose a light grey fabric with a silver stripe.  I chose a contrasting wide spread white collar.  I decided to keep the french cuffs the same as the body of the shirt.  The website is easy to use; however, the fabric pictures are not a good representation of the actual fabric.  The garment took over ten weeks to be delivered.  In defense of MTM Shirt, the package was in customs for three weeks.  My first impression was mixed.  I liked the look of the shirt, but the fabric is extremely thin.  With the contrasting collar, it actually makes it hard to wear because the collar is a much heavier fabric.  This doesn't really allow for it to be a true summer weight shirt, yet the body of the garment is too thin to wear in the winter. As you can see in the picture, the sleeves are too long.  I had to have them shortened by two inches.  The cuffs are large and because of the fabric, very thin.  This causes the back side of the cuff to stick up and get caught on the cuff of my jacket.  The monogram is almost confrontational.  I would like to see MTM Shirt upload more accurate pictures of their fabric selection, give more information on fabric weight and minimize the size of their monograms.
